Emanuel Bronner, a third-generation master soapmaker from a German-Jewish soapmaking family, launched the business in 1948. The best organic and fair trade ingredients are used to make Dr. Bronner's products, which are also vegan and cruelty-free. Fair wage and respectable perks are the only two of the organization's commitments to progressive business practices. Dr. Bronner's products are sold in more than 2,500 outlets and 60 different nations.
